​How can I demonstrate the effects of unrestricted internet access at an early age through references to technology, biology, and psychology? In order to emphasize the interconnectedness and complexity of the internet, I utilized the intersection of various STEM fields to illustrate the effects. When exposed to the wide scope of the internet, children change in various ways - positive and negative. They can go on to discover themselves, lose themselves, find new friends, and take on experiences that influence them in adulthood.

At first, I focused on using UI design and aesthetics to emphasize the internet and technology aspect of my SI. I used bright, vibrant color palettes to emulate the saturation companies use to make their UI attractive to consumers. However as the SI progressed, I realized that there were deeper psychological and biological consequences to the human psyche from the internet. I juxtaposed complexity and simplicity in my pieces by illustrating complicated topics (synapses, parasitism, mitosis, etc.) through a clean stylistic art style.
